effectively using technology in the classroom, I was also able to collected a number of valuable tools for enriching and assisting student learning and become far more comfortable using technology both in my daily life and teaching. I also became connected with other educators with whom I could share valuable resources and information, and witnessed first hand the power of social media for productivity.

Video conferencing tools were not something that I ever pictured myself using, however, after some research, I can see their potential for classroom application and as a professional development tool. I thoroughly enjoy the idea of using this software professional development, as enrolling in online webinars that allow you to access sessions A) Without having to travel, B) that may otherwise be inaccessible due to live locations, and C) that are at times more convenient for our busy schedules. Aside from using this for PD, some applications within the classroom include:
When it comes to presenting information, there are countless ways that we can communicate what we know including: slideshows, poems, skits, demonstrations, discussions, debates, essays, art, songwriting, and much much more. However, even with all of these methods at our disposal, it seems that most often we find ourselves returning time and time again to the tools and methods that we feel most comfortable with. Having previously discussed what it means to be a 21st century educator, we know that it is our responsibility to do our research and provide students with up to date skills and tools that will ensure enriched learning and increased opportunity. Thus we should ask ourselves: are the presentation methods that I use, and have my students use, enhancing their learning, or hindering it?
